Lauterbourg is a city in Alsace.

Lauterbourg is the eastern "tip municipality" on the French mainland (Corsica is even further to the east). It is on the limit of France to Germany right on Rhine. in the region Upper Rhine Plain in the French department Bas-Rhin (Lower Alsace). The train station is in the southeast of the city, next to the port.

- IC / ICE and the TGV from Paris run in Karlsruhe 25 km away.
- Long-distance transport within France will only be available in Strasbourg, 70 km away.
The connecting railway to Wissembourg was dismantled decades ago.

- Eglise de la Sainte Trinité. Trinity Catholic Church. The Gothic choir dates back to 1467, the nave was built in 1716. The modern choir windows were installed in 1950.
- Powder Church. Built in 1708 as a powder magazine, Protestant church since 1888.
- Hotel de Ville. The building from 1731 has a mighty portal, it is also the entrance to the tourist information. The city administration is in the modern outbuilding.
- La Maison de Bailli, opposite the Hôtel de Ville. Built in the 18th century, formerly Oberamt, today elementary school.
- Ancienne Résidence Episcopale. Old episcopal residence, built in 1592 in Renaissance style, it initially served as a bailiwick, after a restoration in 1716 it became the residence of the prince-bishops of Speyer. Today it belongs to the elementary school.

- Landau Gate. Formerly the city gate in the city wall reinforced with 15 towers. In its current form, it dates from 1708.
- Butcher tower. The tower and the adjoining walls were part of the medieval city wall.
- Maison Adam. The building from the 18th century serves as a youth and cultural center.

- Lauterbourg is the lower end of the French section of the Véloroute Rhin (Rhine Cycle Route). To Chur (approx. 480 km) the path is largely flat.
- The upper end point of the French section is at the city limits Basel (Switzerland). The French section is 185 km long and almost continuously flat.
