Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski is a historic city in the polish Voivodeship Holy Cross at the Kamienna, a tributary of the Vistula, on the Kielcer Plateau at the foot of the Heiligkreuzgebirge. The city is in the historical Sandomirer country, a part Lesser Poland. Next to the voivodeship capital Kielce the city is the largest place in Heiligkreuz.
getting there
By plane
The closest international Airport is located north of Rzeszów at the Autostrada A4. Another international Airport are at Krakow. The smaller one Lublin Airport at Lublin is not far away either.
By train
The place has a train station that over Kielce is attainable.
By bus
Intercity buses run regularly to Kielce and long-distance buses to other cities in the region.
In the street
The road network is well developed.
The A4 runs from Germany and also from Poland Autostrada A4 means to the limit. Behind Krakow leave the A4 motorway and take the DK79 road along the Vistula in the direction of the Vistula Sandomierz. It's not far from there.
Alternatively, from southern Germany and Switzerland you can use Prague drive.
From Austria you drive over Brno and then from the Polish-Czech border the Autostrada A1.
