Piastki is a historic city in the polish Voivodeship Lublin at the Giełczewka, a tributary of the Wieprz, southeast of the voivodeship capital Lublin. The city is located in the historical region Lesser Poland in the Sandomirer country, later Lubliner-Country southwest of the Łęczna-Włodawa Lake District on the Lublin plateau. The city is particularly important as the early center of the Calvinist Reformation and later the one that developed from it Polish brothers known. One of the first Bible translators into Polish worked here around the middle of the 16th century, Marcin Krowicki.
