Świdnik is a city in the polish Voivodeship Lublin immediately southeast of the voivodeship capital Lublin. The city is located in the historical region Lesser Poland in the Sandomirer country, later Lubliner-Country southwest of the Łęczya-Włodawa Lake District on the Lublin plateau. On the lake district between Ostrów Lubelski, Włodawa and Łęczna lies the Polesie National Park. The city, which has grown as a suburb of Lublin, is best known in Poland as the headquarters of the helicopter and motorcycle manufacturer of the same name. Here is also the only one International Airport the voivodeship and a sports airfield.
