background

The Route of Industrial Culture is a multi-armed holiday route in the Ruhr area that leads along important industrial monuments. The centerpiece of the route, which is sometimes also abbreviated as RIK, is the Zollverein colliery, which, however, is not on this cycle route. Cyclists who are planning several daily stages with luggage can, however, make connecting routes to the heart of the Pott from several points on the Ruhrgebiet circuit.
