Swinoujscie(Polish: Świnoujście) is a seaside resort and state-approved health resort (Seeheilbad) in Poland in the voivodeship West Pomerania at the mouth of the Odra Swine in the Pomeranian Bay on the islands Usedom and Wollin.

Swinoujscie is the westernmost seaside resort on the Polish Baltic coast. The center with the beach, promenade and spa park is on the island of Usedom. The smaller part of the city with the Warszów district is located on the island of Wollin. Both parts of the city are connected by a ferry.
getting there
Swinoujscie is across the island from the west Usedom or via the neighboring island Wollin best to achieve. Since December 2007 there have been two border crossings from Usedom: Ahlbeck-Swinemünde (B 111) and Garz-Swinemünde (B 110), which are well developed for traffic.
By plane

By train

- Domestic connections lead to the train station Świnoujście on the island of Wollin. Most domestic connections require a change in Goleniów or Szczecin-Dąbie. Stettin is approached directly.
By bus
The small bus station with ticket sales is located in Dworcowa 6 in the Warszów district of Wollin between the ferry station and the railway station; then you have to take the ferry to Usedom.
In the street
Here, too, the journey is via the island Usedom, the border crossings Ahlbeck-Swinemünde and Garz-Swinemünde, or via Berlin, Szczecin and the island Wollin possible; east of the Oder is then on the expressway S3 switch.
By boat

Connections between the districts
- City ferries Bielik I-IV in the city center. Crossing for cars, cyclists and pedestrians free of charge, but only cars with the ZSW license plate are transported. Every 20 minutes from 4 a.m. to 11 p.m., the crossing takes 8 minutes.
- Ferries Karsibor I-IV, about 6 km south of the center: Free of charge, outside cars and trucks are also transported here.

The construction of a tunnel under the Swine was decided at the end of 2018, and it should be completed by the end of 2022.
Public transport
There are quite a few in Swinoujscie Bus routes. Tickets from the driver cost PLN 3 and at sales points PLN 2.60.
Rental bikes
By bicycle (rower) it's easy to get around in Świnoujście, the bike paths are well developed and many tourist attractions are not within walking distance. There is also a well-developed network of cycle paths in the surrounding area. However, there is no major bike-sharing provider with a wide network of rental stations, only UsedomRad operates eight stations, some of which are manned.
There are also classic bike rentals; As a rule, you pick up your bike in the morning from 9 a.m. and bring it back on the same day before 6 p.m., but you can usually rent it for 24 hours or several days:

Tourist Attractions
Swinoujscie offers an interesting cityscape and attractions in the vicinity; Boredom will hardly arise:
- The highest lighthouse on the Baltic Sea coast at 68 m in height, at the mouth of the port in the north of the city. The light signal extends approx. 25 nautical miles or 46 km.
- The fortress "Fort Gerharda" from the 19th century; guided tours are offered here.
- The spa gardens and the old fortifications are ideal for a walk.
- There are still many old mansions on the promenade.
- On the pier you can watch incoming ships and in the evening the sunset.
- The remains of a bunker and fortification from World War II (Goeben battery) east of Świnoujście.

The range of beds in Świnoujście is extensive - approx. 60,000 beds with approx. 40,000 inhabitants - and diversified, from international hotel chains, traditional hotels, guest houses and pensions to private accommodation. Especially at the one on the beach promenade there are numerous guesthouses that are set up in beautiful historical buildings.
Wifi
In Swinoujscie there is no public, open WLAN, apart from the only urban hotspot at the concert shell on the promenade. Free hotspots are few and far between and can be found at Kopytko, Corso, McDonald's, Manufactura Ekologiczna Lodziarnia, and West Baltic Hotel.
