Andrian(Italian: Andriano) is a small community with around 1,000 inhabitants in the Adige Valley. It's up to the South Tyrolean Wine Route and belongs to the district community Überetsch-Unterland.

Andrian lies on the right bank of the Adige just a few kilometers from Meran and Bolzano away at an altitude of 285 m. The place is surrounded by extensive orchards and vineyards. It starts not far from the outskirts Überetsch, it is surmounted by the 1 Gantkofel, it is the northernmost mountain of the Mendel ridge.

High altar of the Church of St. Valentin in Andrian
  • 2  St. Valentine's Church. The oldest parts of the church date from the 13th century. The church got its present appearance in the 19th century.

  • 4  Festenstein Castle. Ruin from the 13th century.
  • 5  Wolfsthurn Castle. Built in the 13th century. expanded in the 16th century, renovated in 1997, there are holiday apartments in the building.
