Montan(Italian: Montagna) is a community in South Tyrolean lowlands. It has about 1,640 inhabitants and is located at an altitude of 500 m Trudner Horn Nature Park.

Castelfeder
The 1 Castelfeder is a historic porphyry hill that towers over the Adige Valley by 190 m and reaches a height of 405 m. It lies on the territory of the municipality of Montan. His name probably goes back to Castellum vetus = old castle. On the hill are the ruins of the Barbarakapelle from the 6th century, as well as the Kuchelen, Byzantine wall remains from the time of 500 AD, as well as the remains of a castle from the Lombard era. The Mediterranean flora on the hill and the ponds and ponds at its foot form a protected biotope. The hill is a popular destination, but it is essential to ensure protection from the sun.
Buildings
- 2 Enn Castle. The castle was built in the 12th century. It changed hands several times over the years. It has been owned by a Venetian family since 1648 and is therefore not open to the public.
