Neumarkt (South Tyrol)(Italian: Egna) is a market town in South Tyrolean lowlands] with about 5,200 inhabitants and is located on the left bank of the Adige.

Neumarkt was founded in 1189 by the Bishop of Trento. The community consists of the place 1 Neumarkt and the districts (fractions) 2 St. Florian (San Floriano), 3 Laag (Laghetti), 4 Mazon (Mazzon) and 5 Vill (villa). The majority of the district area belongs to the Trudner Horn Nature Park.

Tourist Attractions
- Neumarkt has been one of the most beautiful villages in Italy. The old town center with the 1 Pedestrian zone in Andreas-Hofer-Straße with its arcades.
- 2 Parish Church of St. Nicholas. The choir was built in 1410, the nave in 1475. After a fire in 1631, it was expanded.
- 3 Our Lady of the Vill. Start of construction in 1412, tower in 1461, completion in the 16th century.
- 4 St. Michael, Mazon. built in the Romanesque period, remodeled in the 17th century.
- 5 Kloesterle. In the 12th century as a hospice for pilgrims on their way to Rome or Jerusalem.
