Ostrołęka (German: Ostrolenka) is a historic city in the polish Voivodeship Mazovia at the mouth of the Omulef in the Narew not far from the border with the voivodeships Warmia-Masuria and Podlaskie. The city is located in the historical region Kurpierepresenting the northern part of Mazovia. It lies in the historical Łomża-Country at the edge of Kurpie Heath. The city is known as the center of Kurpie folklore.

From Berlin the A12 leads to the border Slubice and further than Autostrada A2 to Warsaw. It's not far from there.
Alternatively, from southern Germany and Switzerland you can use Prague and from Austria over Brno drive and then from the Polish-Czech border the Autostrada A1 take to A2.
