South Harz - Südharz

The landscape in the resin between Osterode am Harz in the west and Mansfeld extends in the east, plus the directly adjacent southern Harz foreland around Nordhausen. The region extends over parts of the federal states Lower Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt and Thuringia. The southern Harz is known for its karst landscape, where the mountain landscapes glow white from afar. In particular, hikers can be found in the southern Harz Harzer Baudensteig as well as the Harzer Grenzweg are just a few hiking trails that cross the southern Harz.
