The Jachenau is the idyllic valley floor of the river Jachen between the Walchensee and the Isar valley in Isarwinkel in Upper Bavaria. The municipality of the same name Jachenau at 790 m is the climatic health resort and main town in this valley floor. Jachenau valley
The Jachen drains the Walchensee to the northeast over a distance of approx. 15 km to the Isar. - St. Nicholas Church, Baroque church in an elevated position above the village:
- The church was consecrated to Saint Nicholas as the main patron saint in 1291, and was expanded in 1718. The current church tower dates from 1874.
