Way of St. James in Franconia - Jakobswege in Franken

Two main routes lead through Upper Franconia from Erfurt in Thuringia via Coburg, Lichtenfels, Bamberg to Nuremberg, or from Saxony Hof via Bayreuth to Nuremberg.

Another main route leads from Fulda in Hesse to Würzburg and then further south.

The historical basis is questionable, but the route could well correspond to a medieval Way of St. James.
