Mława (German: Mielau) is a historic city in the polish Voivodeship Mazovia at the Mławka, a tributary of the Wkrathat are in the Narew flows out. The city is located in the historical region Mazovia on the Mielau hill country in the Zawkrze, a historical region of the Plotzker country on the border with the voivodeship Warmia-Masuria. Mława is one of the oldest cities in the region and is known for its Art Nouveau architecture. The Battle of Mława from September 1, 1939 to September 3, 1939 was one of the first of World War II.

From Berlin the A12 leads to the border Slubice and further than Autostrada A2 to Warsaw. It's not far from there.
