The egyptian Governorate Port Said (Arabic:محافظة بور سعيد‎, Muḥāfaẓat Būr Saʿīd) lies in the Suez Canal Zone. It borders on the north Mediterranean Sea, in the east to the governorate North Sinai, in the south to the governorate Ismailia and in the west to the governorates esch-Sharqīya and ed-Daqahlīya. The administrative center is Port Said.

The governorate has existed since 1868 and once reached up to Ismailia. In 1963 the governorate was split up and the new governorate Ismailia educated.[1]

The main branches of industry are port operations and the administration of the Suez Canal.
