As Eurobahn Verkehrsgesellschaft mbH & Co.KG based in Guard home Founded in 1998, it first operates the reactivated Donnersbergbahn from Alzey to Kirchheimbolanden in Rhineland-Palatinate. On September 20, 2001, Eurobahn Verkehrsgesellschaft mbH & Co.KG. became Rhenus Keolis GmbH & Co.KG, this time based in Mainz, several railway and bus companies were merged and now operated, for example, the Weser Railway and the Lammetal Railway. Between 2003 and 2011 the eurobahn also ran on the Weser Railway Hildesheim and Frets, as well as on the Lammetalbahn between Hildesheim and Bodenburg. Both routes are used today by the NordWestBahn operated.

From December 1, 2000 to January 28, 2001 the Eurobahn also operated between Cologne and Bielefeld a private long-distance train, regular Talent railcars from the local transport fleet were used. With stops in Gutersloh, Dortmund, at the Dusseldorf Airport and in Dusseldorf the journey itself was two and a half hours. The connection was always offered on Fridays and Sundays.

service

The trains of the eurobahn all have 1st and 2nd class, as well as several multi-purpose compartments and a toilet. Taking bicycles with you is chargeable on many routes; the DB bicycle day ticket is recommended. For example, the section from is free Warburg above Hofgeismar to kassel, because this is in the North Hessian Transport Association.

Ticket machines and ticket validators are available on some trains of the eurobahn, they are always located in the multi-purpose compartments. Since they are relatively difficult to use due to the small buttons and fields, it is strongly recommended to buy your tickets before you start your journey. In some associations such as the VRR, boarding the train is only allowed with a valid ticket, there is no possibility to buy them on the train.

Eurobahn also operates two customer centers, these are located directly opposite the west exit of Hamm train station at Unionstrasse 3, as well as at Düsseldorf Central Station in Immermannstrasse 65a on the station forecourt.

All Stadler FLIRT trains have sockets in first class (at the beginning and end of the train). Since in some versions of the type one of the two first class compartments has been converted into a second class compartment, passengers can also enjoy the power supply there.
