Parish Church of St. John
  • 1 Parish Church of St. John, visible from afar as a landmark of the place. Together with the rectory, ossuary, parish hall and the associated retaining walls, it forms an imposing urban ensemble. Opening times for viewing, April to October, daily 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.
  • On the outskirts, towards Himmelkron, stands a Sandstone monument. One can still see a kneeling person on it. According to legend, it is reminiscent of Kunigunde von Orlamünde, who collapsed on her knees from Plassenburg to Himmelkron monastery while walking at penance. So that the widow did not have four eyes to prevent her remarriage, she killed her two children with pin pricks. Later it turned out that the four eyes meant the parents of the future person.
  • The Lindau Moor is a nature reserve with rare plants in a former peat mining area in the Trebgasttal
