Background information on the Lake Constance are here to find.
The Lake Constance cycle path is used by around 380,000 cyclists every year, around 100,000 of whom cycle around the entire lake on a multi-day cycle tour. The Lake Constance cycle path is linked to many other long-distance cycle paths: in Germany, for example, from Lindau with the Lake Constance-Koenigssee cycle path, from Ludwigshafen with the Hohenzollern cycle path, from Kressbronn on Lake Constance with the Danube-Lake Constance cycle path, from Radolfzell with the Heidelberg-Black Forest-Bodensee-Weg and from Constancy and Stone at the Rhein with the Rhine Valley Path.

preparation

getting there

By train

Germany

The Bodenseegürtelbahn runs along the northern shore of Lake Constance, although it runs between Immenstaad and Meersburg in the hinterland.

Switzerland The quickest way to get to Lake Constance from Bern and Zurich is to go to Kreuzlingen or Romanshorn (direct connections every hour). An alternative is Rorschach. Almost every place on Lake Constance can be reached from these stations by following the lake line (Rorschach – Romanshorn – Kreuzlingen – Stein am Rhein – Schaffhausen).

security

Unfortunately, accidents happen again and again. Cyclists are not exempt from this either. However, you can protect yourself from injuries and accidents with the right cycling clothing. The bicycle helmet is the most important piece of clothing when cycling. This protects the cyclist from serious head injuries if he falls on his head. A cycling jacket and cycling pants with reflective projectors are also worth their weight in gold, especially in winter. Thanks to the reflectors on the clothing, the cyclist is clearly visible even in the dark.
