Borgo Virgilio is a center of the Lombardy.

It was established on February 4, 2014 following the merger of the municipalities of Borgoforte is Virgil. The municipal seat is located in Virgilio.
Background
According to tradition and the most authoritative philologists, in the hamlet of Pietole, identified with the ancient Andes, the Latin poet would be born Virgil.
