By plane

The closest airport is the Nuremberg Airport approx. 1.5 hours, arrival via the A73, away.

By train and bus

The next train station is in Bamberg, then continue with the bus.

Local public transport in the Nuremberg Metropolitan Region is operated by the Greater Nuremberg Transport Association VGN operated. It is possible to use different means of transport, such as bus, train, S-Bahn or U-Bahn, with one ticket. The tickets can be purchased online or via an app.

  • The 4 Chapel paths are circular routes on mostly paved paths starting in Königsfeld and leading to 18 churches and chapels in the area. They give an insight into the Catholic veneration of saints.
    • The barrier-freebarrier-free Green route is 3.5 km long, barrier-free and mostly on paved paths
    • The blue route is 12.5 km long and goes to Kotzendorf, Voitmannsdorf and Huppendorf
    • The red route is 15.2 km long and leads via Treunitz to Steinfeld
    • The Yellow Route is 17.1 km long and runs through Huppendorf, Hohenpölz, Laibarös and Poxdorf
