By train and bus

The railway stations 1 Reckendorf and 2 Untermannsdorf are located on the 18-kilometer branch line from Boars to Breitengüßbachwhere they join the main line NurembergLichtenfels connects.

Since 2006, two to three pairs of trains have only run from Monday to Friday from / to Breitengüßbach with a transfer time of 5 minutes at the station, all other trains run from / to Bamberg. For this purpose, a 90-minute cycle was set up on weekdays from 12 noon to 8 pm. The journey time from Bamberg to Ebern is 35 minutes.

  • The building of the Walther'sche Children's Home Foundation in the Bahnhofstrasse. The stone basement and ground floor date from the 16th century, the half-timbered structure and the roof truss from the middle of the 18th century.
