The community Seehausen on the Staffelsee is a state-approved resort and is located on the east bank of the eponymous lake in Werdenfelser Land / Upper Bavaria.

The center of Seehausen is located directly on the east bank of the Staffelsee and on its south-east side it is directly connected to the market Murnau am Staffelsee at.
Districts of the community are the hamlets of Riedhausen, Rieden and Seeleiten. The Staffelsee lies with its area completely on the territory of the municipality.

- The Corpus Christi procession The only Bavarian lake procession is in Seehausen: It has been taking place on Corpus Christi day since 1935, which is the Thursday of the 2nd week after Pentecost, after the service with boats and barges on the Staffelsee and leads to the island of Wörth and back.
