Sandbanks on the Vistula
Paddling with a canoe or a kayak is a pleasure in Poland great popularity. Many boat rental companies are often active on busy rivers. Many rivers in Poland, including large parts of the Vistula, are natural and only very little or not at all installed. Nevertheless, there are many old canals that connect different water sports areas with each other, for example in Masuria. As far as watercourses are protected as national parks, there are certain restrictions on water sports. As a rule, a permit must be obtained at the entrance to the national park.
