Franconian forest (not M. Frankenwald) - mountain range in Franconia in Germany (Bavaria). An extension of the Franconian Forest in the south is Franconian Switzerlandto the west Obermainjur and to the east Smreczany and Hofer Land/Vogtland. In the northwest it becomes The Thuringian Forest.
