By plane
The next major international airport is Munich Airport: Munich - Franz Josef Strauss (199 km, approx. Two good hours by car). On the north bank of the Königssess there is a large car park for a fee (€ 5 per day, as of 2016. Half of this with a guest card)
By train
The nearest train station is in Berchtesgaden and is a stop for InterCity trains. Further from the train station another four kilometers by bus (line 841) or by taxi.
The former railway line right up to the boat landing stage at Königssee was shut down as early as 1965.
