Bayerisch Gmain is a community directly involved Bad Reichenhall in the Berchtesgadener Land in Upper Bavaria.

Bayerisch Gmain forms together with the Austrian place Grossgmain (in the Salzburger Land) the historical settlement area "Auf der Gmain". The double village lies on the mountain range of the same name above the Reichenhall valley basin. The political separation into the German and Austrian parts that is given today took place in 1816.

Immediately adjacent to the Bad Reichenhaller Kurviertel, the municipality of Bayerisch Gmain is now a popular health resort and holiday destination.
