The 1 Guadalajara Airport(IATA: GDL) (officially: Aeropuerto Internacional de Guadalajara Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla) is about 10 km south of the city. The state-owned company SITEUR operates all local transport. Single trips (without transfer authorization) cost 9.50 pesos in 2020. You have to pay appropriately at machines, they do not give change. When using a prepaid card Tarjeta Electrónica (Purchase price 20 P charge) you save 50% of the normal price. These cards can be used in the metro and buses. Their frequency is every 4-5 minutes during rush hour, otherwise between 9 and 12 minutes.
