Veracruz (state) - Veracruz (Bundesstaat)

Veracruz is a mexican State. In the east it has an elongated coastline on the Gulf of Mexico and borders in the southeast Tabasco, in the south Chiapas and Oaxaca, in the west Puebla, Hidalgo and San Luis Potosi as well as in the north Tamaulipas.

Due to the different altitudes, the climate in the state includes all climatic zones of the earth in a small area with the exception of the desert areas. The range extends from rainforests with a humid tropical climate in the coastal strip to a moderate climate in the adjacent mountainous region to the perpetual ice on the peaks of the Sierra Madre.
