Querétaro (state) - Querétaro (Bundesstaat)

The state Querétaro located in Central Mexico and is historically as well as scenically very interesting. While the southern part is rather flat, dry and dominated by agriculture, in the north is the Sierra Gorda mountain range, with extensive forests and countless rivers and waterfalls. Directly adjacent is the Huasteca (see San Luis Potosí).

Querétaro borders in the north San Luis Potosí, in the east Hidalgo, in the south to the State of Mexico, in the southeast Michoacan and in the west Guanajuato.

Although the capital Querétaro has a small airport, most of them will arrive by car or bus from Mexico City (just under 200 km), either from Terminal Central del Norte or directly from Benito Juarez Airport From, for example, ETN drives every half hour in about 3 hours to the bus terminal in Querétaro, which is a good 7 kilometers outside the center.

If you are looking for nightlife, you will definitely find it in Santiago de Querétaro. In the historic center (east of Jardín Zenea) there are numerous pubs, clubs and restaurants that are particularly well-attended on weekends.
