Oberaurach is a Lower Franconian Municipality in the district Hatred Mountains. It is idyllically located in the Aurach Valley in the northern part of Steigerwald surrounded by a lot of deciduous and mixed forests.

The community name is actually an artificial word, as there is no place with the name Oberaurach. Rather, the districts listed below, most of which are located on the Aurach, merged in 1978 and now form the large community of Oberaurach.

(IATA: NUE) is about 80 km, the airport Frankfurt(IATA: FRA) approx. 200 km away.
By train
1 Ebelsbach-Eltmann train station, Bahnhofstrasse, 97500 Ebelsbach. The Ebelsbach / Eltmann train station, approx. 6 km away, is the closest. The station is on the railway line Wurzburg - Bamberg and is a stop only for regional trains.
2 Bamberg Central Station, Ludwigstrasse 6, Bamberg. Bamberg main station, approx. 21 km away, offers various IC and ICE connections.
By bus
Oberaurach is served by local public transport VGN Transport association serving the greater Nuremberg area. Tickets can be purchased directly from the driver, online and via an app and are within the Line network in the district of Haßberge valid in almost all modes of transport. The Bayern ticket from German train is also accepted by the regional bus companies that serve the community. Please make sure that some bus connections are canceled during the school holidays.

Tel.: 49 (0)9522 1522. 25 hectares of meadows, forests, orchards and even old stone quarries are cultivated. The fallow deer find shelter and food in the enclosures. In addition, arable farming and grassland are used to produce the grain and hay for the animals themselves.
