Waldecker Land - Waldecker Land

The Waldecker Land is a holiday region in North Hesse. Today's holiday region is largely identical to the Waldeck-Frankenberg district.

Regions

  • Kellerwald - Large parts of the low mountain range with the "Kellerwald-Edersee" national park belong to the Waldecker Land
  • Holiday region Edersee - The most famous holiday region in the Waldecker Land for the warm season of the year. There are numerous sights and good opportunities for an active holiday (hiking, cycling, water sports).

Note: The region also belongs to the official "Waldecker Land" tourism region, which is largely identical to the Waldeck-Frankenberg district Burgwald. On Wikivoyage, however, the Burgwald is already included in Central Hesse, as it is clearly located in the catchment area of Marburg (e.g. destination for day trips to the mountains).
