The Albacete Province lies in the spanish region Castile-La Mancha. It borders the provinces Cuenca, Valencia, Alicante, Granada, Jaén and Ciudad Real as well as to the region Murcia.

Location of the province of Albacete in Spain

Regions

The province lies largely in the central plateau at an altitude of around 700 m. The south is part of the Betic Cordillera, these Jura mountains are characterized by karst phenomena and deeply cut gorges.
