A Coruña is located in the extreme northwest of Spain. The northernmost point in the country is on the coast of the Rías Altas the chap 1 Punta Estaca de Bares, it marks the border between the Atlantic Ocean and the Bay of Biscay. The westernmost point of the country is that 2 Cabo Touriñán, it's near the Cabo Fisterra at the Costa da Morte. The interior of the country is characterized by green valleys and hills, they reach a height of up to 800 m and are partly responsible for the humid climate. The province's vegetation consists largely of eucalyptus forests, ferns and gorse. Around 1,150,000 people live in the province, and there are two metropolitan areas around the port city A Coruña and around the place of pilgrimage Santiago de Compostela.

The official languages are Spanish and Galician, a regionally widespread Romance language that is closer to Portuguese than standard Spanish. This means that you can also understand Portuguese. Younger people also understand, at least rudimentary, English.
