Cuenca is a province in the autonomous region Castile-La Mancha.
Regions
The province extends from the Serranía de Cuenca in the north and east to the lowlands of the Mancha in the south and west. The spruce forests of the Serranía de Cuenca are known. The highest mountain is the 1,800 m high Cerro San Felipe.

The province has 208,616 inhabitants (2006). One in four lives in the capital of the same name. The province has 238 villages. However, only six have more than 5,000 inhabitants.

- The old town of Cuenca and their old quarters, which have grown over the centuries, have changed little. Many of their buildings are still used as they were before. There are monasteries that are still alive, churches, mansions and the town hall with its arcades
- There are many sights to admire in the cities of Segóbriga and Uclés.
