Bad Neustadt an der Saale is a city in the north Lower Franconia. The Bavarian state bath is located on the Franconian Saale at the foot of the Rhön.

Small historical summary:
The then navigable area of the Franconian Saale ended in Obersalza (this is how the medieval Bad Neustadt was called) and this is where the overland route into the rebellious Thuringia, which was not yet completely subjugated by the Franks, began. Due to its strategic importance, the Carolingian rulers built an imperial palace on the Vitusberg, flood-proof over the Saaleauen, which was repeatedly visited by the wandering emperors and also used to prepare for fights and battles. Electromobility
Since the election by the Bavarian state government in July 2010, Bad Neustadt has been Bavaria's first “model city for electromobility”. Palatinate salt
