The Via Egnatia, an ancient Roman road, connected Rome to Constantinople and ran through what is now Albania, North Macedonia, Greece and Turkey.

Trans-Siberian Railway

The Trans-Siberian Railway runs from Moscow to the Pacific. The traditional end point is the port city Vladivostok, but also the alternative route to Beijing as well as the parallel Baikal Amur Mainline enjoy great popularity.

Albula Railway

The Swiss Albulabahn is one of the most spectacular narrow-gauge railways in the world and runs from Thusis to the famous holiday resort St. Moritz. It is characterized by attractive views and a tunnel with an apex of 1866 m above sea level.

You get up close and personal with nature at Routeburn Track and the other hiking trails of the Great walks in New Zealand. The Inca path in Peru, on the other hand, is also interesting for archeology fans, because it ends at the grandiose Inca city Machu Picchu. The Hadrian's Wall Path leads along the old Roman border fortifications in northern England. The Via Egnatia connects different landscapes, archeology and spirituality as a Roman connecting road from Albania to Istanbul, which is also part of the Pilgrimage to Jerusalem is.

Bike tours

Not only Germany, the Switzerland and Austria can be easily traveled by bike. Even in countries like Scotland, Hungary and even in distant areas in Asia Lovers of Dutch bikes and mountain bikes will get their money's worth.
