The Federal motorway 59 (BAB 59 or A 59) is a federal trunk road that runs in three separate sections near the right bank of the Rhine. The northern section leads from Dinslaken to the Duisburg-Süd junction, where it changes to the BAB 524 into the federal highway 8n. The middle section leads from the Düsseldorf-Süd junction to the Leverkusen-West junction on the Federal motorway 1. The southern section is also known as the airport motorway. It leads from the Köln-Heumar triangle to the Bonn-Ost junction with the BAB 562 and then takes the "yellow" Autobahn 42 Bad Honnef above.
The total length of the motorway is 69 km.
