In Germany exists a public ferry network, which consists of international long-distance connections at sea as well as regional ferry connections on lakes, rivers and canals.

On ferries, booking a crossing is possible both as passenger transport and for people with vehicle transport. Many ferry companies offer combination tickets for passenger and vehicle transport. East Frisian Islands
There are various in Lower Saxony Ferry connections between the mainland and the East Frisian Islands. North Frisian Islands

Kiel Canal
