background
Most of the buildings date from the 10th century. AD and are built in the Puuc style. The city was finally abandoned in the middle of the 15th century. AD About 400 years later, Teobert Maler analyzed the systems for the first time for science. But it took another 100 years before the first excavations were started. Incidentally, the name is derived from the nearby village of the same name.

The system consists of three groups:
- Chacmultun group. On a large terrace area, which is accessible by stairs, there are numerous buildings, some of which are decorated with columns and ornaments. There is also a ball playground here.
- Cabalpak. At the foot of the group is a well-preserved building with numerous decorations.
- Xeth pool. There are several buildings on top of each other on a hill. From the roof of the top building you have a wonderful view of the Chacmultun group.
