Cival is a ruined city of the Maya in El Peten in Guatemala.

First settlements close to the 6th century. v. At the height of power around 100 AD, this city was abandoned for reasons that have not yet been clarified. In 1984 the system was systematically analyzed for the first time by Ian Graham. Excavations have been taking place in the city since 2001, as a result of which the oldest characters found so far were uncovered.
