Pomoná is a Mayan ruin in Tabasco in Mexico.

The heyday of this city was undoubtedly in the Classical period in the seventh and eighth centuries AD. Inscriptions tell of armed conflicts with Palenque and Piedras Negras during this period.

By plane
The nearest international airport is in Villahermosa. From here the road continues.
By train
In the street
Of Villahermosa it goes first to the MEX 186 in the direction Chetumal. Follow this 145 km in the direction of Chetumal. Here you turn right onto the MEX 203 towards Emiliano Zapata from. This one follows in a southerly direction, whereby one the place Emiliano Zapata drives through after just 2 km. After about 45 km, turn left and after another 4 km you will reach the ruined city.

In total, the ruin consists of six sub-assemblies, of which only one has so far been uncovered. There is a large plaza on the edge of which there are three large pyramids. On top of the pyramids there are buildings with an architecture similar to that in Palenque. On the buildings there are still stucco and remains of large reliefs with characters. However, some of these have been taken to museums and replaced by duplicates.
