Kinichna is a Mayan ruin in Quintana Roo in Mexico.
background
The name means something like "House of the Sun". This Mayan site was probably under the constant influence of Dzibanche or even belonged to the city. Here, too, the heyday was between AD 200 and AD 800. It is generally assumed that this pompous complex was more of a mausoleum for a king than a real city.
