Tabasqueño is a city in Mexico in the region Campeche (State).
background
The ruins of this Maya city are generally assigned to the Chenes style. Unfortunately, not much is known about this yet. The time of the first settlement has not yet been determined. What is certain is that this city was in bloom in the period from AD 750 to AD 900. The last known traces date from the 13th century. AD The ruin was finally discovered in 1895 by Teobert Maler from Austria.

In the street
With the car you drive from Campeche coming first the MEX 180 to the east and Cayal. In this little village you follow the MEX 261 in the direction of Hopelchén (good opportunity to refuel). Exactly here you turn in the direction of the south lying Dzibalchén. At kilometer 35 you follow the sign to the archaeological site on an unpaved path and after approx. 6 km you reach your destination.
