Xlabpak is a Mayan ruin in Yucatan in Mexico.

This small site had its heyday in the period from the 6th century AD to the 9th century AD. It is also assigned to the Puuc, which was not to be expected otherwise due to its location and age. Xlbpak means something like "Old Wall".

getting there

By plane

The nearest airport is in Merida. From here the road continues.

By train

In the street

From the center of Merida and from the airport you drive in a south-westerly direction Uman. Here you turn in a southerly direction (direction Xtepen and Uxmal) and after 5 km cross the MEX 180 onto the MEX 261, which you now follow for approx. 80 km. You pass it after 55 km Uxmal. If you follow the MEX 261 from Uxmal after Hopelchén one turns between Kabah and Sanakté direction Sayil from. About 4 km behind Sayil you reach the ruins of Xlabpak.

Xlabpak lies between Labná and Sayil at the Ruta Puucconnecting some Puuc style sites.

Tourist Attractions

The complex consists of several buildings in the typical Puuc style. Only the palace has been restored relatively well. Here you can find well-preserved Chaac masks and typical Puuc ornaments.

The excavation zone is accessible daily from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is not charged.
