Cuca is a Mayan ruins city in Yucatan in Mexico.
background
This ruined city is one of the few Mayan cities that can boast a closed wall. The city has two of them for that. The outer wall is 2.3 km long. Since this partially leads through buildings, it is assumed that the walls were built very quickly for defensive purposes. The inner wall encloses the largest and tallest buildings, including a 13 m high pyramid. The facility is currently not open to the public.
