Buenavista del Cayo is a Mayan ruins city in Cayo District in Belize.

A grave was uncovered here in an excavation in 1988. This obviously belonged to a high status. Numerous grave goods were discovered in the grave. A hollow bone on which important texts were engraved attracted the greatest attention. Some emblem glyphs could not be clearly identified until today.

The ruin is on private property. Permission to visit should be obtained here beforehand.
