Xhaxché is a Mayan ruin in Yucatan in Mexico.

This rather unknown Maya site is generally assigned to the classical Puuc and therefore probably had its high phase between the 6th century. AD and the 9th century AD The place is directly on the Sacbé (Holy Road), which from Kabah above Nohpat to Uxmal leads. John Lloyd Stephens rediscovered the ruins. In 1889 it was further documented by Teobert Maler.

The nearest international airports are in Campeche and Merida. From here the road continues.
By train
In the street
You drive from here by car Merida from the south the MEX 261 towards Hopelchén. About 5 km behind Uxmal one reaches the town of Santa Elena. Immediately after leaving the village, turn right onto a dirt road and follow it for about 2 km.
Of Campeche from there take the MEX 180 in the direction of Mérida to Maxcanu. From here you drive south-west to the village of Muna, where you turn right onto the MEX 261 in the direction of Uxmal. About 5 km behind Uxmal you reach the town of Santa Elena. Immediately after leaving the village, turn right onto a dirt road and follow it for about 2 km.

Of the formerly at least 4 large buildings, only building 1 is well preserved. The ornaments of the classic Puuc style are easy to recognize.
