THE UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization), an international organization composed of more than 190 countries and headquartered in Paris, France, annually publishes a list of cultural and natural sites of exceptional value to humanity, the so-called World Heritage List.

These more than 700 monuments and historical and natural areas represent in an extraordinary way the culture and nature of the countries where they are located and, due to their unique characteristics, they attract the attention of visitors from all over the world.
